Disney+ Premium costs $21.49 a month. Disney+ and Hulu Bundle Premium, the two-service plan without ads, costs $21.99. If you already pay the regular monthly price for Disney+ Premium, adding Hulu costs another 50 cents a month—$6 over a year.
That is a reasonable upgrade if you want Hulu. But annual subscribers face a different calculation, and people with existing Hulu accounts or subscriptions through another company have billing details to untangle first.
The monthly comparison works. The annual one changes it.
Here are the regular U.S. prices, checked October 23, 2026:
| Plan | Listed price | Cost over 12 months |
|---|---|---|
| Disney+ Premium, monthly | $21.49/month | $257.88 |
| Disney+ Premium, annual | $214.99/year | $214.99 |
| Disney+ and Hulu Bundle Premium | $21.99/month | $263.88 |
The totals assume you keep the plan for a full year at those rates; taxes, promotions and partner billing can change your actual bill. “No Ads” also has exceptions for select live and linear programming.
For someone paying annually, the bundle costs $48.89 more over a year, equivalent to about $4.07 more per month. That may still be good value for Hulu. It is a different decision from spending another $6.
Use the amount you actually pay as your starting point, especially if you have an older annual renewal or a discount. A comparison against today’s advertised price cannot tell you what your own plan change will cost.
Disney also advertises a six-month Premium bundle offer at $19.99 a month, renewing at $21.99. Its terms say cancellation during the initial term takes effect at the end of that six-month term. Treat that as a separate offer: check whether it is available to your account and whether its commitment fits your plans.
What happens to an annual subscription you already paid for?
If Disney+ bills your annual subscription directly, Disney says the unused value becomes a prorated billing credit when you change to a bundle. The credit pays toward monthly bundle charges until it runs out. That preserves unused value; it does not preserve the standalone annual price.
Disney’s plan-change page ties that credit to your next billing date, so the change may not take effect the day you make it. Before confirming, check the effective date and credit shown for your account; ask support if the timing is unclear. This policy is for Disney-billed annual subscriptions. Do not assume an annual purchase through Apple or another partner receives the same treatment.
Already paying for Hulu? Sort out both subscriptions first.
The useful comparison is your combined bill, including any discount you would lose. Disney directs people with two or more standalone subscriptions to support for help moving to a bundle. Have the email addresses and billing companies for both subscriptions ready, and ask which charges will continue after the change. If a statement name does not match the service, start by identifying the unfamiliar charge before changing either account.
Keeping your viewing history is a separate task. Eligible bundle subscribers can link a Hulu profile to a new or existing Disney+ profile. Disney says most Hulu watch history then appears in Continue Watching, while My Stuff titles appear in the Disney+ Watchlist. Kid Profiles and profiles under 18 cannot link; Disney also lists restrictions for Live TV, Hulu add-ons and the HBO Max bundle. That is profile linking, not a promise that subscriptions under different email addresses will merge or stop billing automatically.
Apple, Google or another company bills you
Start by identifying the biller. Watching on an iPhone does not, by itself, mean Apple handles your subscription. If you are unsure where the charges originate, the guide to finding streaming subscriptions across app stores, statements and household bills explains where to look.
Disney says plan options vary by billing partner. Its instructions specifically allow Apple-, Google- and Amazon-billed subscribers who want direct billing to cancel their existing subscription and sign up at DisneyPlus.com. Before taking that route, establish when the old subscription ends and what the new plan will charge. Do not assume the transaction transfers unused annual value.
A phone or TV offer needs its own check. For example, DIRECTV says activating its Disney+/Hulu offer does not automatically replace an existing subscription. That rule concerns DIRECTV’s offer, not every possible switch.
Ask your biller or Disney support:
Can I move to Disney+ and Hulu Bundle Premium at $21.99? What happens to my current payment? Which charges will remain?
Confirm the exact two-service plan. Instructions for a bundle containing ESPN or HBO Max do not establish your eligibility for this one.
A legacy bundle is a different trade
The closed Disney+ Premium, Hulu, ESPN Select Bundle Legacy includes Disney+ without ads, Hulu with ads and ESPN Select with ads. Moving to the Premium bundle trades away ESPN Select and changes Hulu to its no-ads tier.
Here the math runs the other direction. Legacy is listed at $27.99 a month. Moving to the Premium bundle at $21.99 saves $6 a month—$72 over a year at those rates—in exchange for ESPN Select. If you still want ESPN, include a separate subscription in your comparison; the two-service bundle does not include it.
Disney says the Legacy plan cannot be purchased or switched into, and existing subscribers keep it only while they do not cancel or change it. Compare the services you use before giving it up.
Also check discounts and add-ons. Disney says a plan change ends a current promotion or price hold. The Extra Member add-on costs $9.99 with standalone Premium and $10.99 with the Premium bundle. With that add-on, the gap becomes $1.50 a month, not 50 cents.
For a regular monthly subscriber without those complications, Hulu costs another $6 a year. If you would watch it, the bundle makes sense. For an annual subscriber, the regular-price difference is $48.89 a year. For a Legacy subscriber who no longer wants ESPN Select, switching can cut the bill by $72 a year.
If you already receive Hulu elsewhere or have a discount, compare your actual charges. Choose the plan for the services you want to keep.
